1.) Marcel Dareus intercepts the pass and scores a touchdown, Alabama vs. Texas (BCS National Championship Game, January 7th, 2010):
You should remember this one. It is Bryant Drive’s number one play over the past twenty years.

2.) “Teague’s Got the Ball” Alabama vs. Miami(FL) (USF&G Sugar Bowl, January 1st, 1993):
George Teague knew he made a mistake. However, his heart and determination would not let the great trash talker but below average football player, Lamar Thomas, score a touchdown. Teague somehow chased down Thomas and stripped the ball from him, saving the touchdown. Alabama would defeat the ‘Canes and become the undisputed 1992 National Champions.

3.) Rocky Block, Alabama vs. UcheaT (2009)
With the exception of Leigh Tiffin’s kicking, this game seemed like one where everything went wrong. Fatigued from playing eight weeks in a row and failing to put it in the endzone multiple times, the Tide just could not put away Kiffin’s Vols. Then, the eventual Heisman winner had his first career fumble, which led to a Vols touchdown. Trailing by two, Tennessee recovered the onside kick and positioned themselves to have a shot at the game winning field goal. Having already block a field goal attempt earlier, “maximum block” was called and Mount Cody’s big hand helped Alabama survive their biggest scare of the 2009 BCS National Championship season.

4.) Greg McElroy’s touchdown pass to Roy Upchurch, Alabama at *ubarn (2009):
The Tide should have defeated the Barners by 77 that day, but they did not have their act together. Was the Tide looking ahead to the huge championship #1 vs. #2 matchup with Florida the following week? Was the Tide distracted by the aroma of cow manure from nearby pastures? We may never know. What we do know is that when it became absolutely necessary to rise up and protect the undefeated season, Alabama did just that. Julio was a beast on the final drive and McElroy tossed this touchdown pass to Roy Upchurch to defeat the Barners.

8.) Freddie Kitchens game winning touchdown pass to Dennis Riddle, Alabama vs. *ubarn (1996):
Down 17-23 with little time remaining, Kitchens marched the Tide offense down the field and scored the game winning touchdown with this pass to Riddle.
7.) The Catch, Alabama vs. Southern Mississippi (2005):
You know what happened. Alabama was struggling and needed some momentum going into the half. Number 4 decided to do something great. An ESPY and Daniel Moore painting would follow.
6.) Rocky Stop, Alabama vs. UcheaT (2005):
Tied 3-3, The Vols were in the Tide’s redzone and hoping to take a touchdown lead. The Tide’s NFL defense would have none of that. Roman Harper’s hit on #45 (who can take pride in the fact that he is now in a picture in every Alabama fan’s home) knocked the ball loose and it rolled through the back of the endzone for a touchback. On the next possession, Brodie hit DJ Hall for a huge gain and “Money” made the game winning field goal to send Fat Phil crying all the way back to Knoxville.
5.) Antonio Langham’s interception return for a touchdown, Florida vs. Alabama (1992 SEC Championship Game):
Langham’s interception return for a touchdown gave Alabama the victory in the inaugural SEC Championship Game and set the stage for a national championship showdown with the supposedly all mighty ‘Canes of Coral Gables. See the play from 8:41-9:16.

10.) Shaun Alexander’s run in the swamp, Alabama at Florida (1999):
Fresh off of a typical Mike Dubose loss against the Louisiana Institute of Technology, no one gave Alabama a chance to enter the Swamp and break Florida’s home winning streak of 89 games (or whatever it was at the time). The Tide somehow got the job done and Alexander’s overtime “Run in the Swamp” gave the Tide the 40-39 victory.
9.) Sanders is stopped short, Alabama vs. *ubarn (1994):
The squads of Stallings and Tater Tot entered the 1994 Iron Bowl undefeated and while the Barn has nothing to play for since they were on probation (“keep it down home cuz”), Alabama still had a national title shot on the line. On a 4th down late in the game, the Tide defense stopped Frank Sanders short of the first down marker and preserved the win. See the play from 5:56-7:00.

12.) The Defense stops LSwho’s Booty at the goal line, Alabama vs. LSU (1999):
The 1999 battle with the Bengal Tigers was a critical win that most fans have seemed to forgotten. Alabama was in a battle to win the SEC West and Gerry DiNardo, who would later break the Fahrometer scale, was in the way. The Tide, with their backs to the goal line and only seconds remaining, had to get a stop to preserve a six point victory. Booty took the snap, rolled out to the right, and got stuffed by Marvin Constant (in what would sadly be his final game in Crimson) and a host of Tide defenders before breaking the plane. Thank God he did not pass the ball. View the goal line stuff from 8:14-9:08.
11.) Greg McElroy’s touchdown pass to Colin Peek, Alabama vs. Florida (2009 SEC Championship Game):
We could simply link the entire game film below, but one play stood out from the game where Teblow was brought to tears. That was the beautiful touchdown pass to Peek, which coincidentally was the cover photograph for the following week’s Sports Illustrated.

14.) Greg McElroy’s touchdown pass to Julio Jones, Alabama vs. LSwho (2009):
People tend to forget how tough of a battle this game was in the 2009 season. Alabama was able to pull it out in the 4th quarter and MTAQ. Julio broke a few game touchdown drought with this play and I think he was running like he was running to Atlanta after he caught the ball . . .
13.) Rashad Johnson’s overtime interception, Alabama vs. LSwho (2008):
It was the play that helped Alabama punch their ticket to the SEC Championship Game for the first time since 1999. Johnson had a heck of a game that day by intercepting Jarrett Lee about 13 times. Our number 13 play occurs from 10:17-10:41.

16.) Freddie Milons 77 yard touchdown run, Alabama vs. Florida (1999 SEC Championship Game):
Milons helped seal the deal in beating Florida for the second time that season and sending the Tide to their first SEC Championship since 1992.
15.) John Parker Wilson tosses the winning touchdown to Matt Caddell, Alabama vs. Arkansas (2007):
In a battle of unbeatens early in the 2007 season, Alabama built a big lead against Darren McFadden, Matt Jones, Felix Jones, and the rest of the Hogs. However, the Tide found a way to blow it. Fortunately, Bama mounted a game winning drive and JPW hit Matt Caddell in the corner of the endzone with only eight seconds remaining.

18.) McElroy’s touchdown pass to Maze, Alabama vs. *ubarn (2008):
Then backup quarterback, McElroy, tossed a beautiful pass over the shoulder of then backup wide receiver, Maze, to put an exclamation point on the beatdown in T’Town.
17.) Brodie Croyle’s touchdown pass to Tyrone Prothro, Alabama vs. Florida (2005):
In what was at the time arguably the loudest and best game in Bryant Denny Stadium, Bama Bangs Brodie and #4 gave Urban a welcome to the SEC with a deep connection for six.
And because it’s funny . . .
